This will be an extraordinary moment of reminiscence and resistance, where members of the HALT DAPL 500, speak out for the first time following the $345 million judgment against the Greenpeace organizations.
Back in November 2016, Greenpeace International co-signed the “Halt your support for DAPL” letter coordinated by BankTrack with 500+ others. That signature was the only relevant act resulting in a $65 million judgment against Greenpeace International.

This event brings together people and organisations who spoke up and joined together to send the letter expressing concerns to the banks that financed the pipeline. As civic space comes under attack and protecting free speech and protest is more important than ever, this is a space to design how we can fight attempts by the fossil fuel industry to silence advocacy in support of Indigenous Peoples rights, water protection and climate justice.
